Running time: 8’13
Blik is about a young boy who moves to a new neighbourhood and falls in love for the first time, with the much older girl next door.
The challenge was telling this short story without the use of faces, using only body language to convey often subtle emotions. We developed a unique style to communicate animation and posture as clearly and beautifully as possible.
The novel techniques and the bulk of animation required a solid and efficient pipeline, which we developed during the production of this movie and in improved form, still use today.
Blik has been screened at various animation and film festivals and is now available online.
