Miss Moxy is a roadmovie about the urban and a bit arrogant pussycat Miss Moxy, who decides to go home again, after being taken on a vacation to the French countryside by her owner and his family. This is the start of a long and exhausting journey where she becomes friends with a dog and an old swallow, who will accompany her during her adventurous trip home. Miss Moxy has to learn how to rely on her animal instinct. Something she has not done for a very long time…
Our Role in the Production
For this film, Polder Animation was responsible for the overall production design and art direction, shaping the visual identity and aesthetic of the project.
As a studio, we were closely involved from the earliest stages of development, leading the pre-preproduction process. This involved defining how the film would look and feel in 3D.
Our team modeled all 56 characters featured in the film. For the main characters, we also handled the texturing, rigging, and grooming in-house, ensuring a high level of consistency and quality throughout.
In addition, we oversaw the full rigging pipeline at animation studio Capybara for the remaining characters. Using our proprietary rigging tools, their rigging team — under our guidance — implemented the character rigs, including the final rig for Miss Moxy.
